Scripture is called the Word of God for a reason. How do you know the Bible is God’s Word? First of all, the Bible contains advanced wisdom which humanity had no way of knowing or proving at the time it was written. Secondly, and most importantly, prophecy. Unlike human prophecy, which is merely predictions about what might happen, prophecy to God is a promise of what is certain to take place in the future at his appointed time.
How do you know who is a true prophet from God and who is a false prophet? God provided a test to determine false prophets and false religions. In the book of Deuteronomy, God says if even one thing a prophet speaks does not happen, they are a false prophet. God’s standard in all things is always perfection.
