The wages of sin is everlasting separation from God but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ.
Romans 6:23
When the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved you, not because of righteous things you had done, but because of his mercy. He saved you through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on you generously through Jesus Christ the Savior, so that having been justified by his grace, you might become an heir having the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:4-6
God demonstrates his own love for you in this, while you were still a sinner, Christ died for you.

He is the atoning sacrifice for your sins and not only for yours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Acts 2:21
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:9-10
Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of the whole world and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28
He is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance. II Peter 3:9
So whoever has the Son of God has the life and whoever does not have the Son does not have the life. I write this to you so that you may believe in the Son of God and that you may know you have eternal life.
I John 5:12-13
God saves us and calls us to a holy life not because of anything we have done, but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given to us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time and it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior who has destroyed death forever and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
