I am the Lord!  That is my name!  I will not give my glory to another or my praise to idols.  See, the former things have taken place and new things I declare.  Before they spring into being, I announce them to you. Isaiah 42:8-9

I am the first and I am the last.  Apart from me there is no God.  Who then is like me?  Let them proclaim it! Let them declare and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people and what is yet to come, yes, let them foretell what will come.  Do not tremble.  Do not be afraid.  Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago?  You are my witnesses.  Is there any God besides me?  No, there is no other Rock.  I know not one.  Isaiah 44:6-8

Remember this, fix it in mind and take it to heart you rebels.  Remember the former things, those of long ago.  I am God and there is no other.  I am God and there is none like me.  I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.  I say:  "My purpose will stand and I will do all that I please."  From the east, I summon a bird of prey.  From a far off land, a person to fulfill my purpose.  What I have said, that I will bring about.  What I have planned, that I will do.   Isaiah 46:8-11

I foretold the former things long ago.  My mouth announced them and I made them known.  Then suddenly, I acted and they came to pass.  I knew how stubborn you were, the tendons of your neck were iron and your forehead was bronze.  Therefore, I told you these things long ago.  Before they happened, I announced them to you.  Isaiah 48:3-5

My word that goes out from my mouth will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.  Isaiah 55:11

I, the Lord, have spoken and I will do it.  Ezekiel 17:24

I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.  Jeremiah 1:12

The things I plan won't happen right away.  Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.  If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.  It will not be delayed. Habakkuk 2:2-3

You may say to yourselves, "How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?"  If what a prophet proclaims in my name does not take place or come true, that is a message that I have not spoken.  That prophet has spoken presumptuously.  Do not be afraid of them.  Deuteronomy 18:21-22
